HEALTH COMMITMENT STATEMENT

Your health is your responsibility. The management and staff of this organisation are dedicated to helping you take every opportunity to enjoy the facilities that we offer. With this in mind, we have carefully considered what we can reasonably expect of each other. The statement is for guidance only. It is not a legally binding agreement between you and us and does not create any obligations which you or we must adhere to.

Our commitment to you:

  1. We will respect your personal decisions about what exercise you can carry out, however we do ask you not to exercise beyond what you consider to be your own capabilities.
  2. We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy.
  3. We will endeavour to maintain a high standard of hygiene and keep a safe environment for you to exercise in at all times.

Your commitment to us:

  1. You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with you exercising safely, before you use our equipment and facilities you should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice.
  2. You should make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices. Exercise carries its own risks. You should not carry out any activities which you have been told are not suitable for you.
  3. You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. If you are feeling unwell, we advise you to stop exercising and seek the relevant medical advice.
  4. You must inform a member of staff on your first visit if you have a medical condition that may put you at risk.
  5. You must NOT visit the gym should you develop any signs of covid 19, this includes a persistent cough or a high temperature.
  6. You will respect the hygiene principles when training and agree to clean down your equipment with the sanitiser and clothes available.
  7. You will respect the social distancing rules we have set out within the facility and respect other members at all times when using our facilities.
  8. This information given by you on entering this agreement is correct and accurate and a be relied upon by us.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Our memberships are available for an initial minimum term of 3 months, after the 3 month period, payments will continue until you cancel them or request them to be cancelled.
  2. Membership will be granted on an appointment basis only and will be subject to availability with regards to referral and gym capacity.
  3. Memberships are to be paid monthly via Direct Debit only on the 1st of every month. The first month or part month will be collected on sign up via card payment.
  4. If you fall behind with your membership fees and this is not caused by bank error, we may charge reasonable administration fees or suspend or cancel your membership.
  5. We may decide to increase membership fees, but these will not increase in the initial minimum 3 months of membership. We will give you a minimum of 14 days’ notice of any fee changes.
  6. You may be able to freeze your membership free of charge for medical reasons, as long as you provide us with recently dated acceptable medical evidence. This is the only reason we would consider freezing your membership.
  7. You can request to cancel your membership via email at ironliongymnasium@gmail.com. Please provide your full name, telephone number and reason for your request with at least 14 days notice. We will then send you confirmation by email once we have processed your cancellation, please tell us if you did not receive this.
  8. We can cancel your membership if: You have seriously broken the club rules or any terms of this contract; you do not pay any fees within one month of its due date; or for any other reason if we consider it necessary.
  9. Members must be 18 years of age or older and show some form of I.D if necessary.
  10. You will be required to sign up to ‘My PT Hub’ and complete the necessary PARQ, medical information and contact details.
  11. There may be occasions where we have to close all, or part of the gym. In such circumstances, you will not be entitled to any partial or full refund.
  12. We will endeavour to advise you in advance where possible unless the issue is urgent or an emergency.
  13. We will not be liable for or responsible for any failure to perform any of our obligations under this agreement which are caused by any event that is outside our reasonable control.
  14. Our staff are medically qualified so if you have any doubt about your fitness or capability to exercise, we strongly recommend that you get advice from a doctor first. You are responsible for correctly using all club facilities and reading signs and agree to keep to the conditions on the heath commitment statement.
  15. It is a requirement for all members to have a gym induction. If you are not sure how to use any equipment, always ask a member of staff.
  16. Do not let anybody in or out the club as you enter and leave the premises. You must notify us immediately if someone attempts to follow you in without scanning their face.
  17. Please try not make or receive phone calls on the gym floor.
  18. Please re-rack your weights and return items to their original and correct positions.
  19. Be careful when walking behind treadmills, cross-trainers and close to any equipment around the gym.
  20. You must not drop weights in any part of the gym for safety reasons and as a courtesy to other gym users.
  21. Do not leave your belongings in a locker when you are not on the premises.
